About Me & My Approach

Human Beings Are Biological Entities — Full of Capacity for Self-Healing and Change

Ever since I was young, I was fascinated with people: what motivates us, what moves us, what do we fear? This curiosity led me to a lifelong study of psychological science.

My formal studies include a Masters of Counselling and a Ph.D. in Brain and Cognitive Science from the University of Calgary. I am a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia, and my treatment is deeply informed by the neurobiology involved in the trauma response.

A typical client in my practice presents with symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger or rage, inability to control impulses, sleep disturbances, cognitive fogginess, lack of energy, chronic pain, and others. These issues often create secondary difficulties in work, parenting, and intimate relationships.

Throughout my years of studies and clinical practice, I assembled a treatment approach based on cutting-edge research in neuroscience and the neurobiology of trauma.

“Throughout my years of studies and clinical practice, I assembled a treatment approach based on cutting-edge research in the disciplines of neuroscience and the neurobiology of trauma. I believe every person has the capacity for profound self-healing.”
